TESTIMONIALS

Bogart Bogart started swimming with us as a young Great Dane. For two years during his show career, he had a thorough cross-training program which included swimming. Now retired show dog living the life of beachside leisure, we are so exited so see our boy so happy and fit.

Fin and Kelti I take my dogs Kelti and Finn to TheTotal Dog Swim & Gym to swim. I like the work out it gives them. It is a safe environment where Keltie is supervised and is encouraged. Since we've been going Keltie's back is stonger, which means fewer Chiropractic visits, and she is showing better at her agility trials.

Gusto When Gusto was diagnosed with an ankle/foot injury and possible partial tear in his cranial cruciate ligament in his knee, I knew his Flyball career would be on hold for many months until we successfully rehabilitated him back into competition form. His twice weekly swimming sessions with Natalie were the number one reason he was able to maintain muscle mass and cardiovascular conditioning during the three months he was on restricted crate rest. It was also the one bright spot in his life as we kept him quiet. Now that he is getting back to competing, we still swim once per week just to keep his muscles, tendons and ligaments loose, to give him a cross-training method of exercise, and to have a professional hands-on evaluation of his legs and back every time he gets in the pool. I can't thank warm water therapy, Natalie, and the Total Dog enough! —Christine Davis, Carlsbad
Bernie

I take my 9 year old beagle to swim therapy at the Total Dog at least 3 days a week. He has weak achilles tendons on both hind legs, making it diffucult for him to walk as much as he would like to. Swimming helps keep his muscles toned and keeps him relaxed and happy. It also helps him stay slim and trim as he burns off calories. He always does much better on his walks after he has had his half hour of swim therapy. It seems to relieve the pain although I'm not exactly sure why. I love that I can swim in with my dog in the beautiful pool. This helps me relax and deal with life's many challenges.

Natalie and Carol are wonderful with all dogs. They have devoted their lives to healing dogs and it really shows, especially at their new swim location with two wonderful pools, a massage room, another waiting room, bathrooms to change in and a dog bath/shower area. It's just a big roomy wonderful dog venue. Carol and Natalie are great resources as far as different modalities available for dogs that need healing. Sadly, I lost my sweet yellow lab Diva to bladder cancer last January. She was afflicted with many problems that swimming remedied, especially severe arthritis and weight problems due to Cushing's disease. The last year of her life was made tolerable thanks to Total Dog. I swam her there almost every day. Diva loved her swim therapy. After her swim, I would feed her and she would be relaxed and feel good for the rest of the day until night time came and it was pain medication on top of pain medication all night long. She absolutely adored coming to the pool and the dog-loving and friendly atmosphere gave her every reason to want to keep living. Natalie and Carol were so supportive, lending a gentle ear to my multitude of questions and complaints and concerns.

With love and gratitude we remember Danny Boy and his wonderful foster mom Arlene. Sadly, both Arlene and Danny Boy passed away early in 2013. We are glad that they are Together Forever - in God's loving embrace.

Sydney

I was very touched by the excellent care you gave to Sidney when he came to swim therapy. Jill was impressed by your facility as well, and she thinks this will be very good for Daisy. She was initially going to go to a place in Del Mar but I thought she'd like The Total Dog much better.
